This Refund Policy applies to all coffee education and training services provided by Sea Culinary Academy Sdn Bhd.

1. General Policy: No Refunds (Participant-Initiated)

All purchases are final. We do not provide refunds for participant-initiated reasons, including but not limited to:

  • change of mind
  • schedule conflicts
  • non-attendance (no-show)
  • late arrival
  • dissatisfaction with the training, instructor, or outcome

2. Exception: Special Circumstances (Case-by-Case)

We may consider a remedy only in genuine special circumstances, at our sole discretion, such as:

  • serious accident or hospitalization
  • major medical emergency
  • death in the immediate family
  • force majeure events that make attendance impossible

Evidence required: Reasonable supporting documentation may be requested (e.g., medical certificate, hospital admission letter, police report). You may redact unrelated personal information, but your name and the relevant dates must remain visible.

Request window: Requests must be submitted as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 72 hours after the scheduled course start time.

3. Remedies Under Special Circumstances (Priority Order)

If a special circumstance is accepted, the default remedy is:

  1. One-time reschedule to a future session (subject to seat availability), or
  2. Training credit equal to the amount paid, valid for 180 days, non-refundable, and redeemable only for our Services.

Cash refunds are not guaranteed under this section and will be granted only where required by law or in exceptional cases at our sole discretion.

4. Reschedule Requests (Non-Special Circumstances)

For reschedule requests that are not due to special circumstances, we may offer rescheduling only if the request is made at least 7 days before the course start date, subject to availability. An administrative fee may apply.

5. Cancellation or Reschedule by Us

If we cancel a course, you may choose:

  1. A full refund, or
  2. Transfer to a future date (subject to availability), or
  3. Training credit equal to the amount paid (valid for 180 days).

If we materially reschedule a course and you are unable to attend the new schedule, you may request:

  • transfer to another date, or
  • training credit, or
  • a full refund.

  • Proof/supporting documents (if applicable)
  • Requested remedy (refund / reschedule / training credit)
